Hamburger Stroganoff

This recipe is from my mother. Used to love this as a kid.
Ingredients:
1/2 lb ground beef
2/3 cup water
1 tsp salt
1 cup sour cream
2 tbsp flour
1 can cream of chicken or mushroom soup. ( I like mushroom personally)
1/2 bag of wide egg noodles.
Directions:
  1. brown ground beef and drain well. set aside.
  2. boil noodles as directed.
  3. Mix together rest of ingredients in large bowl. Whisk well.
  4. Pour into skillet and let thicken for 5 minutes on medium heat. 
  5. Add ground beef and noodles back in to sauce. Stir well to coat.
  6. Let sit on low for 10 minutes. Then serve.
