Lattice Top Chicken Stew Casserole

This recipe was given to me by my mother-in-law. I love it, but my husband refuses to eat casseroles. I like it because you all you veggies and meat in one dish.

Ingredients:
1 pkg. California blend vegetables (broc, carrots, cauliflower)
2 cups cubed cooked chicken
1 can cream of potato soup, undiluted
1/2 cup shredded cheese
1/2 cup french fried onions
1/2 tsp season salt
1 tube crescent rolls

Directions:
  1. In a large bowl mix together all ingredients except crescent rolls. transfer to greased 9x13 pan.
  2. Bake uncovered for 20 minutes at 350.
  3. Meanwhile separate the crescent rolls into 2 rectangles. cut each rectangle into thin strips. 
  4. Place over warm filling, forming a lattice crust. Bake 15 minutes longer.
