Porcini's Carbonara Pasta

This dish is from one of my favorite restaurants that I clipped out of the newspaper many years ago.  So yummy.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup chopped cooked pancetta or bacon
1 tbsp salt
8 oz penne pasta
1 cup heavy cream or milk
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp butter
1 tbsp dried tomato pesto
1/4 cup marinara sauce
1/4 cup frozen peas
8 oz chicken breast, cooked and shredded

Directions:
  1. cook pancetta over medium low heat until almost done or not quite crisp. drain and reserve
  2. boil and cook pasta as directed on box.
  3. In a large pot combine cream, Parmesan, butter, pesto, marinara and cooked panceta. Cook over medium heat, stirring until Parmesan melts and sauce is combined.
  4. Add peas and chicken, then pasta, folding everything together. Serve in bowls with additional parmesan cheese. 
  5. serves 2
